is analyzing two Statesman applications for water rights.
The Brinnon Group has filed legal appeals. DOE has tested Black Point wells for salt water intrusion.
- There will be a public comment period for the water rights application to DOE. No date is set.
- The county commissioners have adopted a proposed Shoreline Management Program (SMP). The SMP was submitted to the state Department of Ecology for the final review and adoption process. The state will hold another public hearing and public comment period. The SMP will probably be adopted in 2010. The SMP sets shoreline buffers for new building.
